Take a moment to think….
How did your last trip impact the environment?
Aside from the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere from the plane journey had what were the side effects of taking that trip? Did you use plastic bags, buy bottled water or take long car journeys? Aside from the obvious pollutants involved in travel, we’re often unaware of what other choices we make that also impacts the environment we’re visiting.
What can you do to minimise the environmental impact?
Of course, this all depends on how far you want to go. Even something as little as not buying plastic bottles and using a flask for water can go a long way. Every decision we make has an impact on the environment. Some people may decide not to travel as far or if taking plane journeys contribute to a carbon offset charity. It’s all about personal choice. Of course, we’re not advocating that you shouldn’t travel. Far from it. Travel enriches us as people, provides cultural insight and self-learning. We are merely seeking to offer some insight into the world of eco and ethical tourism.
